For the Stereo and RBDS/RDS to function a soundcard that supports 192 khz is needed.
The application supports ASIO for low latency. By using virtual cables or soundcards which do not support ASIO we recommend installation of the asio4all driver. It is free and can be downloaded in the internet. You also can find it in the Support Forum.
You can add as many processors as your hardware allows.
To set the Input source like MPX, SCA, line, channels, mono/stereo, level. Also in the processing-controls lpf, hpf, phase rotator, failsave and input source can be set up in the controls.
Plays all files as a single player or a playlist. Playlists can be saved.In case of a signal dropout the failsave silence detector activates the player so that the audio is never interrupted.
Setup the time when the silence Detector should react by a dropout of the audio signal. Also you can set up what it should do (start and receive another stream, play a playlist audio, and so on...). Also the Silence Detector will be able to send you a message (mail or sms) to inform you about the program problem. So you are always informed about the status of your playout.
This is a very useful feature if you are using the RADIO OPTIMIZER as an insert-processor in an existing audio stream. For example you have a transmitter that is far away from the studio but you want do the processing there and create the Stereo and RBDS/RDS sigal at the transmitter for a better signal quality and better FM signal..
The OPTIMIZER receives the uncompressed clean studio stream by shoutcast (not public) and the RADIO OPTIMIZER processes the audio and sends it out as a mpx signal with stereo and RBDS/RDS to the transmitter.
But much better is to use the STL RX in this case.
The Studio Transmitter Link RX receives your audio over IP in both directions simultaneously. With the STL TX it can send the audio to another ip audio receiver.
The RADIO OPTIMIZER has 3 processors:
6 Band (8), 9 Band (11) und 18 Band. The processor core is the heart of the software and has a long history of development. It can easily measure itself with the best sound processors on the market in case of sound, quality, reliability and posibilities.
Everyone of the 3 processor types has these processing parts and functions:
Dualband AGC with window- function, automatic 18 band equalizer, manual 4 band parametric equalizer, multiband compressor with noise gate (expander), multiband limiter with noise gate (expander), multiband final limiter, 3 band sum limiter, 3 band final sum limiter, platform leveling for all limiter parts, final wideband limiter.
Some programs has content that needs to be processed with a special preset setting. So if you change the content, the preset has to be changed, too. This is called dayparting and RADIO OPTIMIZER does it automatically by day and time.
We are very proud of this excellent stereo base enhancer. As a wideband or an 11 band enhancer, the result of the produced stereo image is incredible. The integrated width limiter avoids over enhancing. The enhancer is an intelligent calculation so the mono-audio newer will be extinguish by a stereo with more than 90 deg.
DMC means ‘Distortion Masked Clipper’ and is responsible for the loudness of the signal. The amplitude of distortion is measured on a band by basis. When the distortion is above the undistorted level (also done on a band by band basis) it subtracts some of the distortion from the clipped signal. This process reduces the distortion to a level so that it is masked & therefore inaudible.

If you have to observe these levels the RADIO OPTIMIZER produces you a stable and legal audio for your station. The loudness controller will improve the sound and feeling of you station, voices will be loud and clear!
Some web-stations have contracts with advertising companies that place commercials into the stream. One of the ways wow they are doing this is by a trigger of 18 hz. Most of the Sound Processors do not pass the trigger. Therefore the RADIO OPTIMIZER has a Trigger Transfer that could be setup by volume and delay. So never again miss a commercial!
For FM MPX output the Pre-Emphasis can be set to 50 or 75 µs.
The MPX part does support 19 khz stereo and RBDS/RDS encoding. The data that can be written to the RDS signal are PI code, program name, radio text, traffic program, alternative frequency, now playing and so on. Also there is a MPX clipper and a BS 412 option for loudness regulations.
To record the program you can set three different types of recording: continous, timed and logging. For example it is possible to record 24 hrs, saved on an hour by hour basis.
The Stream TX is a very good tool for all webradio stations because they don't need to buy another expencive streaming software. There can be streamed 4 channels in each instance with the formats MP3, AAC+, Ogg and in a few months xHE AAC. xHE AAC allows a much smaller bandwidth than AAC or MP3 for the same resulting quality. So you can stream a 8 kbit/s program with the quality of FM broadcasting. This is amazing and will be added at the beginning of 2017.
The Fraunhofer AAC Package enables web streaming with very low data rates. Also included is the xHE codec, which makes it possible to achieve FM quality (mono) with 8 kbit/s. For the first time it is possible to get Internet radio via mobile 2G connections, which was not possible due to the high data rates. This opens up new markets, especially in countries with a large 2G coverage.

With the Analyser you can see the frequency spectrum of the selected signals (in / out / processed ...). Also there is a signal generator with different settings and formats.
